MESSAGE FROM THE FESTIVAL COORDINATOR

Whether you are young or young at heart, the choices you make today shape who you become tomorrow.

Every rehearsal, every practice session, and every brave step onto the stage builds resilience, confidence, and growth.

Challenges will come but growth happens when you show up, try again, and keep moving forward.

You know from experience that you don’t need to have everything figured out.

Simply committing to improve each day creates momentum, and when you are in tune with your strengths, goals, and passions, that momentum can carry you anywhere.

This year, let’s be IN TUNE WITH TOMORROW  by giving our best today. To all participants, first-timers and seasoned performers alike, congratulations. You are ready! Give it your best and, most importantly, have fun. That’s what the Festival is all about!

We extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated music teachers, supportive parents and guardians, volunteers, sponsors, donors, the Kiwanis Music Festival Committee, adjudicators, and friends of the Festival. Your continued commitment is the reason we are proudly celebrating 60 years of music and community.

Cynthia Roveda Award

This cash award of $250 is given to a grade 12 high school student who is pursuing their studies, in the following school year, in music education in any discipline (ex., voice, piano, wind or string instrument) at a university or college level. The  award is to encourage students to further their studies in music education at a university or college level and to become our future school music teachers. Please indicate a note ‘pursuing music education’ upon registration. (Subject to confirmation)

Nancy Hughes Memorial Award (New)

This cash award of $100 will be given to a student participating in both Strings and Piano Disciplines, (solos, duets or ensembles).  The recipient will be determined by combining their highest mark from one of their piano classes with the highest mark from one of their piano classes.  The student with the highest combined total will win the award.  This award is in memory of Nancy Hughes and is sponsored by Jones Music Studios.
